Zigbugs have exploded onto the Carping scene over the last 4 years and are primarily used by the Carping brigade as an extra attractant tied close to whatever depth their zig rig is set too. I've been tying these for a couple of years now and are meant to imitate all manner of aquatic creatures which carp seek out, and regularly eat in their natural environment.
Beatles 'n Waterboatman
I far prefer tying more bulkier flies if you want my honest opinion, but I have to say without a question of a doubt i love tying Beatles and Zigbugs with craft foam, Dubbin and rubber legs. Super simple to construct with minimal materials and they're super exciting to fish with.
